INTRODUCTION
Hi there! My name is Olivia, I am a senior at Grand Blanc High School and I am a photojournalist.
I have been working on the GBHS Echo Staff for three years, two of them on the editor board as a photo quality editor. I enjoy taking a variety of photos, but I love to play around with different elements in a studio/portrait environment. I love to portray the subject in a matter that tells a story, their story, in a unique way. |
MY PHOTOGRAPHER JOURNEY
Over the past three years, I have taken thousands of photos from different events featuring athletics, graduation, senior portraits, and much more. In each one, there are elements I capture that creates a very realistic feeling that the audience can see in themselves, such as strength, determination, and joy.
A JOURNALISTIC APPROACHAs a well rounded yearbook/journalistic student, I learned to use a specific style to create history. I worked alongside other staffer and editors through nearly 12 sets of deadlines each year in addition to writing stories, captions, or smaller quotes for pages outside of the deadline cycle.

FAMILY-LIKE BOND
Online or in-person, I have found a home within the Echo staff. We have done multiple bonding experiences to create a close, tight bond. From decorating stations for birthdays, to planning a Kolor Run, even personal projects within the editor board, I found ways to contribute as a teammate and a leader. |
SOCIAL MEDIA OUTREACH
As my work advanced, I saw the potentials of my outreach on social media. I created my own account in 2018, found an outreach through our unofficial athletics Instagram page, and created a folder to go on our yearbook website. From there, I started to gain followers, and I have only just begun.
